MARIANAS Public Land Trust board member Carla Naog Camacho has earned a place on the University of Phoenix President’s List due to her extraordinary academic achievement in its MBA program. She was also selected to be a member of the Lambda Sigma Chapter of the International Business Honor Society, Delta Mu Delta.

In his letter to Camacho, the university president, Chris Lynne, said the President’s List recognition “represents the pinnacle of academic achievement” in Camacho’s pursuit of an academic degree.

To be included on the President’s List, students must complete a minimum number of credits and earn a 4.0 GPA during a six-month period.

To be a University of Phoenix student “is to have a unique dedication and passion for achieving your professional goals, but by meeting this rigorous standard, you have also shown fierce commitment and an uncommon perseverance that bodes exceptionally well for your future academic and professional success,” Lynne said.

“We look forward to recognizing your achievements throughout your program, including the possibility for being recognized on your diploma and official transcript as graduating with honors at the end of your program — a distinction for graduates of our master’s degree programs with a final program GPA of 3.90 or higher,” Lynne told Camacho.

In their joint letter, University of Phoenix Delta Mu Delta Honor Society Lambda Sigma Chapter co-faculty advisers Anthony G.  Ellis, JD and Dr. Steven Campas Jr., D.M., M.S. congratulated Camacho. They said the invitation to join the chapter is extended only to University of Phoenix business students who have completed a sufficient number of courses and are in the top 20% of their respective classes with no academic or behavioral violations on file.

“Your Delta Mu Delta membership will convey academic excellence and a commitment to high principles and superior achievement throughout your lifetime,” they said.
