Saipan Falun Gong practitioners commemorate the 25th anniversary of their group’s persecution in China.

THE Saipan Falun Dafa Association held a peaceful two-day roadside protest at the intersection of Quartermaster and Beach roads to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their group’s persecution initiated by the Chinese Communist Party.
On July 18 and 19, Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, practitioners on Saipan displayed banners with messages promoting the beauty of Falun Dafa and exposing the CCP’s “long-term brutal persecution of practitioners.”
They are calling on everyone to join forces to stop the CCP’s “heinous crime of harvesting the organs of Falun Gong practitioners.”
There is a need to put an end to the CCP’s 25-year-long atrocity, the practitioners said.
They said Falun Dafa is a peaceful spiritual practice rooted in traditional Chinese culture.
Falun Dafa consists of meditation exercises and a moral philosophy centered on the values of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance, its practitioners added.
It was in June 10, 1999, when the CCP launched a nationwide campaign to persecute Falun Gong, setting up “610 Offices” at all levels of government, the practitioners said.
“These offices aimed to eradicate Falun Gong practitioners through a policy of slandering their reputation, cutting off their financial resources, and physically destroying them,” the practitioners said.
