Pho Tam Vietnamese Cuisine Richer Ta’s parents, Ta Bun Kuy, center, and Nenita Ta, third right, pose with restaurant manager Joseph Solmarin and their staff last week.
In celebrating three years of loyalty and cherished connections, we thank you for being a part of our Pho Tam family. Cheers to more years of serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine to our beautiful island of Saipan.
THREE years ago, when other restaurants on the island were shutting down due to the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Pho Tam Vietnamese Cuisine bravely went the other way and opened its doors to offer the unique culinary delights of Vietnam.
Richer Ta’s decision to launch the restaurant on July 8, 2021, along Rosa St. across Kristo Rai Church in Garapan proved to be shrewd, with the restaurant becoming a favorite among not just tourists but also local residents.
Pho Tam Special
Initially serving just four soup choices, including the Pho Tam Special and Spicy Pho, the restaurant now offers a more varied menu featuring authentic and delicious Vietnamese noodle soups for which Pho Tam Vietnamese Cuisine is now known for.
Beef Belly with Brisket
Today, July 8, 2024, Pho Tam celebrates its 3rd anniversary with a special event featuring the launch of an even more expanded menu, said Pho Tam Manager Joseph Solmarin.
New options include Rare Rib Eye Steak and Beef Belly, and Beef Belly with Brisket.
Shaken Beef Banh Mi
For appetizers, they’ve added a sampler of spring rolls—a combination of pork barbecue, chicken, and shrimp—and a chicken wings sampler with garlic chili and truffle garlic parm.

The menu also now features Shaken Loaded Fries—garlic fries topped with beef belly, cheddar cheese, jalapeño, sriracha aioli, and caramelized onions. Banh mi additions include Bulgogi with Egg and the Shaking Beef Banh Mi.

Another new offering is the Seafood Boil in three flavors—original Cajun, coconut, and curry—all served with rice. This delicacy is highly recommended during the daily Happy Hour from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., paired with beer.
These additions cater to patrons’ requests for more menu options, Solmarin said.
