Latte FC 1’s Rosemarie Chisato dribbles past two Matansa FC 2 defenders during a Simiya-Faayul division game of the Spring 2024 Dove Women’s League at the NMI Soccer Training Center on Sunday.

LATTE and MP United Pink football clubs continued their ascension in the Simiya-Faayul division of the Spring 2024 Dove Women’s League by defeating their respective opponents at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Sunday.

Latte FC 1 edged Matansa Football Club 2 with a late first-half goal.

Throughout the opening half, LFC 1 and MFC 2 played as equals. Although LFC 1 controlled most of the possessions, MFC 2 managed to stand their ground and fended off the incoming attacks.

However, LFC 1 eventually broke through the line of defense and created the space needed for Rosemarie Chisato to capitalize off the break and find the back of the net to give her team the lead, 1-0.

MFC 2 continued to put up a fight with a handful of close calls, but they could not deliver. They prevented LFC 1 from scoring again, but had to settle for defeat 0-1.

Other games

The only other team to taste victory on Sunday was MP United Football Club Pink, which bested Shirley’s Football Club, 2-0, thanks to Leilighschigh Rasiang and Pernalynn Camacho who connected a goal each at the 6th and 7th minute marks of the first half.

Drawing their matches were MPU Blue and Kanoa FC, 2-2, and MFC 1 and LFC 2, 0-0.
