Man allegedly entered woman’s Sinajana home through window

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A man who appeared to be intoxicated was accused of breaking into a woman’s home.

About 6 a.m. Tuesday, Guam Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at a Sinajana residence where a woman stated an unknown man, later identified as An Ludwig, 25, was in one of the bedrooms inside her home.

According to a magistrate’s complaint filed in the Superior Court of Guam, the woman’s 17-year-old daughter told police that about 15 minutes before their arrival, Ludwig allegedly opened the 17-year-old’s bedroom window and climbed into her bedroom.

Ludwig then allegedly went to the girl’s bedroom door, which was open, and closed it, before turning on the lights. The minor then yelled at Ludwig, “What are you doing?” the complaint stated.

Ludwig, who had long hair and was shirtless, but was wearing trousers, then left the room through the same bedroom window he used to enter, according to the complaint.

Another family member, a 15-year-old male minor, told officers he heard the screen of his bedroom window sliding open. When the 15-year-old looked toward his window, he saw Ludwig and asked Ludwig what he was doing, before Ludwig exited through the window.

The two minors then exited the residence and saw Ludwig running away, according to the complaint.

Later that morning, police located Ludwig and informed him that he was being detained relative to an ongoing investigation.

“While the officers were placing (the) defendant in hand restraints, the defendant stated, ‘Sir, I didn’t mean to go in the girl’s room,'” the complaint stated.

Ludwig was arrested at 7:45 a.m. and police noted that he smelled of alcohol and his eyes appeared to be bloodshot and watery.

Ludwig was charged with burglary as a second-degree felony, criminal trespass as a misdemeanor and harassment as a petty misdemeanor.
