NOW that its broken water pipes have been fixed, the Laly 4 public restrooms are open again to the public, community volunteer Max Aguon said.

“I paid a worker to fix the broken pipes — this is from me, for my volunteerism, from the heart,” Aguon said.

The public restrooms were closed for about two weeks because a pipe valve had been broken, causing water to leak.

“It needed minor repairs, but I don’t need to wait for the government to fix it,” Aguon said.

A Division of Parks and Recreation employee, he also cleans and maintains the public restrooms at Laly 4, the Grotto, Paupau, the Capital Hill baseball field, Garapan Central Park and Smiling Cove Marina.

He respectfully requests the public to use public restrooms properly and not to vandalize them.

For his island cleanup activity, Aguon receives assistance from sponsors that include the DPA Car Mart, the CMG Mobil Gas Station in San Jose, Rep. John Paul Sablan, Rep. Manny Castro, and U.S. Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan.
