KOROR (Palau Horizon) — Close to 300 delegates trooped to the six-day cluster training hosted by Palau for the 6th Annual Outer Pacific Head Start Program.
The participants came from American Samoa, Hawaii, Guam, the Marshall Islands, Northern Marianas, Pohnpei, Yap and Palau.
Palau has 177 delegates to the regional cluster training.
Head Start Director Belhaim Sakuma said the training was organized for all Head Start staff and partners to further strengthen the program and improve the quality of the services to Head Start children and their families.
Sakuma said Palau’s Head Start program has been receiving $1.5 million from the federal government. He said Palau Head Start has 19 centers that take care of over 500 children.
