CAN traveling and saving go together?
According to Ed S. Benavente, sales and marketing director of Guam’s Santa Fe on the Bay Hotel and Beach Resort, it is possible, even during this trying economic time.
“We’re sensitive to the public’s need so we’ve devised a plan to make trips more affordable, more enjoyable and more convenient to many people,” Benavente said during his visit to Saipan yesterday.
Recently, the hotel launched its Saipan-Guam special package offering a reduced two-way ticket price at $174 which includes two-night accommodations.
Benavente said the reduction in airfare was made possible through a partnership with Continental Micronesia. Regular airfare from Saipan to Guam costs $181 per person.
“People flying Continental just need to inform their travel agents that they want to stay at Santa Fe on the Bay, and they will get the special package,” Benavente said.
The hotel’s offer also includes free transport service to and from the airport, round-trip hotel and airport transfer and early morning check-in.
The hotel is five minutes away from the Guam airport.
“They won’t worry about the traffic rush or the constant transit bus stops,” he said. Built about three years ago, Santa Fe on the Bay has 108 rooms that offer an unobstructed view of the beach.
“A lot of our guests like the open air bar. We also have live entertainment from Wednesdays to Sundays,” he said.
“The hotel has a very nice atmosphere, especially during sunset because there’s no obstruction of the view. The setting is really cozy. It’s away from hassles, away from traffic,” he added.
