POLICE arrested a man who allegedly beat up his wife at Gold Beach Hotel in Garapan on Wednesday night.
Roland D. Kapileo, 23, was held for assault and battery.
The victim sustained swollen lips and redness on the left cheek, police said.
The woman said she was at the parking lot of Gold Beach when Kapileo arrived, threw a beer can at her and cussed.
The victim threw her bag at Kapileo and ran away. After a few minutes, she walked back to the hotel because she was worried that someone might get her bag.
Kapileo, however, was still there and told her to get into his car. When she refused, her husband allegedly pushed and punched her twice on the face.
The victim later drove to Dai-Ichi Hotel where she called the police for assistance. She told investigators that Kapileo was mad at her because he thought she was doing “something” with his cousin.
The victim stated that the suspect had beaten her up many times in the past.
