IT&E Overseas, Inc. has filed a complaint on Wednesday against one of its employees who allegedly stole money from the company.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Pete C. Muna said the suspect, 23-year-old Andrew S. Masga of Dandan, had not returned to work since last week.
Masga allegedly stole $700 from the company cash box last Feb. 8.
The accounting section learned that the money was missing when the suspect failed to submit a report at the end of the day.
When confronted about the missing money, the suspect allegedly agreed to make payments through allotments from his paychecks.
Last Feb. 22, the suspect allegedly failed to turn in payments by customers.
Masga allegedly gave the original copies of receipts to customers and kept the carbon copies.
Two persons had already complained about receiving bills that they already paid for.
Payments made by 10 customers were still unaccounted for. The case was placed under further investigation.
In other news, the Attorney General’s Office yesterday filed criminal charges against the alleged driver of a pick-up truck that fatally struck a garment factory worker near Northern Marianas College.
Shaun Fitial Iguel was charged with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving.
