Babauta visits Seoul

GOVERNOR Juan N. Babauta is scheduled to leave tonight to lead a CNMI delegation that will grace the Seoul International Trade Show in South Korea.

The visit will also coincide with the administration’s campaign to bring in more tourist to the Northern Marianas.

“Governor Babauta recognizes his personal involvement in that effort,” Robert Schwalbach, special advisor to the governor, told Variety.

Babauta will be joined by Rep. Frank DLG. Aldan, R-Saipan and chairman of the House Tourism Committee, and officials of the Marianas Visitors Authority.

It will be a two-day working visit for the governor and the CNMI delegation. Schwalbach said Babauta’s personal presence at the international trade show and in meetings with tourism and travel officials of South Korea will “empower” the delegation, whose mission is to promote the CNMI there.
