A CAR struck a pedestrian on Middle Road in Chalan Laulau.
The victim, Kim Jae Won, suffered a possible broken neck and received lacerations on the left arm and knee.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Pete C. Muna said Kim was taken to the Commonwealth Health Center.
Muna said the driver, Jian Zhai, 26, was not arrested as the case was placed under further investigation.
Muna said preliminary investigation showed that Jian was driving a red 1991 Mazda four-door sedan when “he felt he had struck somebody” near Coca-Cola Co.
Jian stopped the car and saw the injured victim lying on the shoulder of the southbound lane. He then called the police.
Muna said the driver was not under the influence of alcohol.
It was not stated whether the victim was crossing the highway or walking on the road.
