Woman accused of selling bogus raffle tickets

A WOMAN filed a police complaint against a person who allegedly sold tickets for a raffle that never took place.

The victim accused 25-year-old Sherry Teigita of theft by deception, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Pete C. Muna.

Muna said the victim told the police that last March 26, Teigita came to her house in Kagman I and offered her “Easter Bonanza” tickets for Northern Marianas College.

The victim purchased $40 worth of tickets, but when she went to Kilili Beach last March 31 to witness the raffle no one was there.
