Marianas Variety re-launches its online publication today in response to numerous requests from local, regional and international readers for a reliable and credible source of information about the CNMI and Micronesia.
The Variety’s Web site address is <www.mvariety.com>.
“For the sake of the CNMI, put up a Web site,” readers said in several e-mail messages and letters to the Variety.
Abed E. Younis, Variety publisher, said the online edition also signifies the continuous success of the newspaper as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
“The credibility of the newspaper, its independence and straightforward reporting are sought by readers in the CNMI and abroad,” Younis said. “We’re going online to bring a realistic picture of the CNMI and our region to the world,” he added.
The Web site will carry the latest news from the CNMI, Guam, Palau, the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia.
The Marianas Variety has sister publications on Guam and Palau and correspondents in the Marshall Islands and the FSM.
“We hope readers from the CNMI, the rest of Micronesia, the U.S. and other countries will find the Web site very useful,” Younis added.
