School burglarized, vandalized

UNIDENTIFIED persons broke into the San Antonio Elementary School and vandalized several classrooms during the Easter weekend.

Public Safety spokesman Lt. Pete C. Muna said that based on the investigation, the incident happened between Saturday and Sunday at 4:30 p.m. to 7:09 a.m.

Muna said that according to a school staff, the front door of Room A was pried open and inside things were scattered, paints were splattered on the walls, ceiling, floor, carpet, computers, tables, chairs, and even inside the refrigerator. Muna said Room E-1’s front door was also forcibly opened, water was all over the floor, cabinets were pushed over, and books were scattered about.

Inside Room E-2, water was spilled on the floor, finger paints were splashed on the walls, ceiling, and other equipment. Trash cans were spilled and water fountain was pushed over.

In the Bilingual classroom, several school T-shirt uniforms were also scattered on the floor.

In Room B-6, finger paints were splashed all over, fire extinguisher was sprayed and powder paint was spilled on the teacher’s desk.

Room B-4, the Teacher’s Resource Room was likewise pried open and things were scattered on the floor.

According to a school staff, all classrooms were locked and secured before the Easter break.

Muna said the case is under follow-up.
