Susupe store robbed

TWO men, including one armed with a handgun, robbed a store in Susupe on Saturday morning.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Pete C. Muna said the suspects ran away with an estimated $400 to $500 cash from Phoenix Market.

Muna said investigation showed that the two suspects entered the store at 8:30 a.m. and walked toward the counter.

One of the suspects aimed a gun at the store attendant and demanded money.

The attendant opened the cash register and handed the money.

The suspects told the attendant “not to do anything so nobody would get hurt” because they “only wanted money.”

“The suspects’ faces were covered with handkerchiefs, the attendant said.

At the time, there was a customer in the establishment, police said.

Police placed the incident under further investigation.

In other news, a 38-year-old garment worker was beaten up by three male juveniles for allegedly refusing to give them money in San Antonio.

The worker was walking when the suspects stopped him near Treasure Island Poker and demanded money.

When the victim told them he had no money, the suspects beat him up and ran toward the back of the poker center.

Responding police officers arrested two of the suspects. The case was placed under further investigation.

Meanwhile, two detainees at the Kagman Juvenile Detention Center in Kagman had escaped from the facility.

The detainees, however, were later arrested by the police on Capitol Hill.
