Rotary Club golf tourney

OVER a hundred golf enthusiasts are expected to join the 4th Annual Rotary Club of Saipan’s Goodwill Golf Tournament to be held tomorrow at Coral Ocean Point.

Proceeds of the event will go to the Saipan Youth Football League, the Northern Marianas Junior Golf League and the government’s crime prevention programs, according to Irene Tantiado, chairwoman of the Rotary Club’s tournament committee.

Walk-in participants, according to Tantiado, will also be welcomed.

The shotgun tee-off starts at 12 noon.

“We only request the participants to be there one hour before the tee off. This is because of the registration,” said Tantiado.

Two brand new cars courtesy of Microl Corp. and Triple J are at stake. Two other winners will also be given $10,000 cash each from Shell Marianas and Verizon.

“This is Rotary’s premier fund-raising event for the year, and we encourage all golfers to join in and help support our youth sports teams and crime prevention,” said Tantiado.

The $125 tournament fee is inclusive of green fee, prizes and banquet.
