TutuRamz slip past Wazzup, 11-10

TUTURAMZ bounced back from last week’s lost by outlasting Wazzup, 11-10, in a 2024 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association League game at the Dandan baseball field on Sunday.

Wazzup was the first to draw blood with three runs contributed by Derek Aguon, Eric Kani and Kevin Kapileo.  Each earned an RBI.

In the bottom half of the inning, TutuRamz equalized with three runs, thanks to Jack Cepeda and Chris Sablan to even the score, 3-3.

Wazzup hit a solo run in the top of the fourth, but TutuRamz’s Hank Reyes brought home Stan Aldan and Tony Techur and himself after connecting a three-run homer to grasp the lead.

Wazzup scored two runs in the top of the fifth while TutuRamz answered with two runs of their own, highlighted by Chris Sablan’s two-run homer that was followed by another run in the sixth to give TutuRamz the upper hand, 9-7.

In the seventh and final inning, Wazzup delivered three runs to lead by a point. But TutuRamz was saved by Jack Cepeda, who connected the game-winning two-run homer to notch victory, 11-10.

Winners, too

Also winning nail-biting games were Asahi, which slipped past Tokahao, 13-11; and SUFA, which edged Peliliu, 8-7.
