(SCC) — The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce an innovative partnership with the Community Development Institute under Northern Marianas College, aimed at furthering the professional development opportunities available to chamber members and the general public.

For many years, Island Training Solutions has been the main facilitator of professional development programs for SCC members. However, recognizing the evolving needs of its diverse membership base, SCC sought to expand its opportunities. This has led to the integration of CDI into the professional development environment, bringing a fresh perspective and a new set of courses for members to choose from.

SCC Executive Director Kimberly Camacho stated, “We are thrilled to welcome CDI into our network. This partnership is a strategic move to diversify our professional development programs and empower our members with a broader range of training options tailored to their unique work environments and needs.”

SCC extends its gratitude to CDI’s director, Monique Sablan, for graciously opening her doors to this collaboration. “We appreciate Director Sablan’s commitment to education and professional development. Her support and enthusiasm for this initiative have made it possible for us to offer these valuable opportunities to our members,” said Camacho.

In this collaboration, SCC, alongside CDI will be offering a diverse array of courses to enhance professional skills. Acknowledging the importance of continuous learning in the workforce, Camacho emphasized, “Professional development training is a cornerstone in fostering a skilled and adaptable workforce. It ensures that our members stay ahead of industry trends, making them more competitive in the business environment.”

Courses to expect from CDI are Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace, Effective Communication in the Workplace, Strategic Leadership and Effective Management.

Camacho expressed excitement about the lineup, noting, “These courses address critical aspects of contemporary business practices, with a particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, a topic at the forefront of many industries.”
