MARTIN Hess and Addalee Taflinger on Monday swept the 2nd Annual Run Saipan Trinity by once again topping their respective divisions on day 3 of the event, which was a 5K race in Marpi.
The two likewise ruled the first two races held on Beach Road and Mt. Tapochao on Saturday and Sunday.
The last race of the Trinity featured a short straight course, and the first to cross the finish line was Martin Hess, a visitor from Switzerland, who clocked 17:57.
Jody O’Sullivan came in second at 18:54 while Sildrey Veloria finished third at 19:31.
In the women’s division, Addalee Taflinger, an eighth grader at Saipan International School, likewise bagged her third consecutive first-place finish with a time of 24:39. Ann Bang claimed second place at 25:53 while Shawna Brennfleck finished third at 25:53.
The overall results of the 2nd Annual Run Saipan Trinity will be featured in Variety’s next edition.
