THE CNMI Department of Labor has announced that its offices will close at 12 noon on Friday, Dec. 15 to allow staff to attend an agency-wide professional development seminar. Operations are scheduled to resume on Monday, Dec. 18.
The event, titled “Data Dialogue,” will provide training for DOL staff on interpreting statistics, engaging community stakeholders, and facilitating solutions-oriented conversations. Attendees will learn data visualization techniques and strategies for presenting insights in easily understandable ways.
“We want to equip our staff with the tools not just to look at data, but to really explore what it means and how it can drive meaningful action,” said Secretary of Labor Leila Staffler. “Engaging with information in creative, thoughtful ways will help strengthen our outreach and public service.”
DOL leadership believes sessions like Data Dialogue raise organizational competency and offer professional growth opportunities essential to recruiting and retaining talented labor department personnel.
The agency regrets any inconvenience caused by the early closure and appreciates the public’s understanding as CNMI DOL invests in its employees.
