MILDRED Sablan Camacho is the new CNMI Scholarship Office administrator.
Appointed by the CNMI Scholarship board of directors, Camacho succeeds the late administrator, Rose P. Camacho.

Mildred S. Camacho has been serving as acting administrator since the passing of her predecessor.
CSO board chairwoman Geri Dela Cruz said the board is very pleased that Mildred Camacho has accepted the appointment.
“Mrs. Camacho is a living testament of one who believes in higher education,” Dela Cruz said. “She earned her higher education degree during her tenure at the Scholarship Office. She has years of experience in this office with the primary role in compliance.”
Mildred S. Camacho was mentored by her late predecessor who led the CSO for several years.
“We are confident that Mrs. Camacho will carry on the roles and responsibilities of the CNMI Scholarship Office in providing financial assistance to students of the CNMI,” Dela Cruz said.
Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, for his part, extended his congratulations to Mildred S. Camacho.
“Congratulations to Administrator Mildred S. Camacho for taking on this important role for our students pursuing higher education. I’m very proud of her accomplishments. Although she has big shoes to fill, I am confident she will continue the legacy of Rose Pangelinan Camacho and add to our collective vision of assisting our students,” the governor said.
Mildred S. Camacho said she is humbled by the decision of the CNMI Scholarship Board.
“I am confident that I will lead this office and continue the mission of providing financial assistance for higher education and continue the legacy and passion of our late administrator Rose Pangelinan Camacho,” she added.
