Peter Camacho and Tash Van Buren hit seven three-point shots as they both scattered double-digit points through out the game which turned out to be a much different from the last one against Office of Public Auditor on June 6. DCCA almost lost to OPA had it not been to Joey Dela Cruz’ single free throw in the final few seconds of the game.
On Friday, DCCA nailed CPA to 42 points as they went unstoppable right from first quarter beating CPA, 27-14.
It was CPA’s first game of the season.
CPA’s Ray Sablan managed to tie the score with an easy two-point in the third but DCCA’s Ando Benavente and Romeo Iginoef were quick to pull away and did not look back.
Van Burren scored 33 points, 21 of which were from the arc, and Peter Camacho played three-pointer in the game. All the 21 points he scored were attributed to seven straight three-pointers.
Abong Camacho hit 30 markers and Iginoef added 21 points.
PTI 94, DoC 66
Pacific Telecommunication Inc., the second private sector that joined the formerly inter-government caging gained its second win defeating Department of Corrections 94-66 in the second game.
The DoC was leading at the end of the first quarter but PTI’s Ryan Sanciangco, Edsel Mendoza and Brad Ruzsala nailed them to 34 in the second quarter.
Sanciangco scored 24 points, hit his five free throws and basketed a three-pointer early in the first quarter.
Mendoza and Elmer Esdrelon scored 17 points and Kelvin Fitial added 12 points.
