Vicente M. Calvo, the municipal council secretary, said the confirmation of Abelina T. Mendiola and Justin S. Manglona were immediately transmitted to Rota Mayor Joseph S. Inos after the session.
On Friday, Calvo said the nominees’ drug test results, one of the requirements, were submitted to the council.
Calvo said they found no basis to reject the appointments.
Last March, the council confirmed the appointments of Ephrem S. Taimanao, Melchor A. Mendiola, and Diego M. Songao but rejected the nominations of Abraham M. Ogo and Barry Cuthbert Toves.
“I want the commission to get things moving now,” Calvo said.
