Gary P. Camacho, power division acting manager, said CUC needed to change the load shedding time schedule of CPA and the airport because they required electricity during their operations in the afternoon.
CPA and airport is under Kiya 1: 2nd Partial which was taken offline from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Power service in portions of Koblerville and As Perdido were also interrupted during this time.
According to CUC, Kiya 4 and Feeder 3 are also affected by the change in load shedding schedule.
From 12 noon to 2 p.m., Kiya 4: 2nd Partial was turned off. The facility covers Mount Carmel and south to portions of Chalan Kanoa.
Feeder 3: 3rd Partial was turned off from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., affecting Gualo Rai intersection, south to Chalan Pale Arnold and Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road intersection.
The load shedding for Feeders 2: 2nd Partial is still scheduled between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
The entire grid of Feeder 7 is still set to be turned off between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The power outage for Feeder 4: 2nd Partial is still slated from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The schedule for Kiya 2: 2nd Partial remains at 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
CUC said the first partial in each of the Feeders could be included in the revised schedule should the second partial be insufficient.
“These temporary changes to the schedule will continue until” CPA and the airport can self-generate, CUC said.
