League Goodwill Baseball Tournament in Agana, Guam.
The team of 12 boys, age five to eight years will be competing in the Tee Ball, eight boys nine to 10 years in the Babe Ruth division and boys 11-12 years will play in the majors division.
The members of Saipan teams are composed of young baseball players from As Matuis Twins, McDonalds, Tanapag Braves, San Antonio Dragons and Garapan Pirates.
Eliseo “Chel” Castro said the teams will be leaving for Guam on July 18, and the tournament will start on July 19-20, at the Guerrero Field in Agana.
The teams are holding fundraising for airline tickets, hotel accommodations, transportation, uniforms and food.
These days, they kept themselves busy having raffle tickets, selling lunch and coin drives every Friday.
Castro said they need assistance from community in order for them to be successful.
The team members who will compete in Tee Ball are John Richard Paul Atalig, Jr., Eliray Jamal Castro, Pedro DLGuerrero Pedro Jr., Ian Karr Jr., Jun Litulumar, Jude Lizama, Brittany T. Lizama, Trevin Keiji C. Palacios, Anthony C. Sablan, Chase T. Tenorio, Jose Randy T. Tudela and Aleisha A. Tydingo.
Those who will compete in Babe Ruth event are Nathan P. Camacho, Tommy K. Cango, Dayvin Flores, Alex Litulumar, Alex, Ernest Sablan Jr., Philip John Deleon Guerrero, Roke T. Tenorio and Geno H.Dela Cruz.
For the majors division, Jason DLG Camacho, Ton Camacho Jr., Charles K. Cangco, Darion Jones, Phil Litulimar, Ian P. Lizama, Angel Keoni T. Palacios, Melvin Sakisat Jr, Ray Ray Tenorio, Robert Dee A. Tudela, and Kindu Vilagomez.
