On Oct. 31, 2020, Halloween morning, the Saipan Unity Lions Club and Saipan Teen Unity Leo’s Club conducted a beach cleanup at their adopted site in Tanapag. Twenty-two Saipan Unity Lions Club members and four Leos collected nine trash bags. After the beach cleanup, they headed to Santa Remedios Church, which is also in Tanapag, to distribute 50 bags of school supplies to the church’s catechism students. In each school bag, there were notebooks, pencils, crayons, rulers, and candy. These were the Saipan Unity Lions Club’s spooky Halloween treats for the children. These activities were led by Saipan Unity Lions Club president Alicia Barbo, first vice district governor Lion Atoy Banting, and Saipan Teen Unity Leo Club president Vicky Ancheta.
