Lease agreements signed

NSPLA, in collaboration with the Bureau of Lands and Surveys, had identified and subdivided land in Ngriil, Ngarchelong for the state’s land lease program. All together, 30 land lease lots were made available.

NSPLA proceeded to make announcements of the availability of the 30 land lease lots and more than 50 people had applied. NSPLA had, through a meticulous screening process, reviewed all the applications and awarded the lots to those who were identified as most qualified.

Since then, the awardees of the lots have been brought to the sight to identify the lots that had been awarded to them and determine all that is required to be a lessee of the lots.

According to NSPLA officials, all of the awardees are satisfied with the land lease program requirements; and the program has progressed into the actual signing of lease agreements with the awardees.

All of the 30 awardees are now in the process – on an individual basis – of signing lease agreements with NSPLA.

NSPLA officials said that as of Tuesday, May 27, more than half of the 30 applicants have signed the lease agreements.

“We will wait until all of lease agreements for the 30 lots are signed before we proceed to the next steps of the land lease program,” the officials said.

According to the officials as soon as more lands are identified and determined more land lease lots would be made available in the program.
