UCEDD program manager Arlene Yamagata and PBUCE’s Floyd Masga were on hand to receive the donations on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020.
The Feeling Safe Being Safe or FSBS training and tools are aimed at activating participants to take charge of their own safety planning. FSBS is about preparing and practicing for an emergency to help you feel safer every day. Not knowing what to do can lead to panic and confusion during an emergency or disaster, and maybe even contribute to an unsafe situation.
The CERT Program, PBUCE, and NMC UCEDD will further discuss plans to train people with disabilities and their family members early next year to take a more active role in emergency management planning, and to prepare themselves and others for disasters.
“On behalf of the PBUCE and its partners, we thank the CERT program staff for continuously taking an active role in helping the people of the CNMI!”
