Chris Sterling wins Best Costume Award in virtual fun run

In second place was Jaden Andrew, dressed as a witch, while Lyle Andrew, who also dressed up as a witch, took third place.

“The club was not sure what to expect in holding a virtual event but we were pleasantly surprised about the turnout,” SPC community coordinator Lorenza Aldan said. “We had over 30 people who registered and participated in the fun run.”

She added, “We were thrilled to see how creative people got with their costumes and we can’t wait to see what they will come up with next year!”

The virtual fun run aimed to raise funds for the repair and upkeep of SPC’s canoes which are in dire need of a “facelift.”

SPC also plans to hold its annual bake sale on Nov. 7 at The Shack from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event will likewise raise funds for the repair of SPC’s canoes. Face-masks will be required.
