DPW-Energy announces 2020 Saipan energy-efficient educational campaign

The Energy Division, in conjunction with its Energy Education, Efficiency and Conservation Program efforts, will be distributing eight  LED light bulbs per household to assist residential consumers reduce the cost of utilities of their homes and to educate the community about the importance of preserving and protecting available natural resources in the environment through energy-efficiency and conservation efforts in the CNMI.  LED bulbs will be available for distribution on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the day and while supplies lasts.

To avail themselves of LED Bulbs, residential consumers must present a copy of a valid government issued identification card and a copy of a most recent utility billing with name on account. If you’re getting the LED bulbs for a residential consumer who is unable to do so, an authorization letter from the account holder must be provided. Businesses, rental property owners and or landlords are not eligible to receive LED bulbs.

In addition, due to the continued threat of the Covid-19, consumers are asked to observe during the event all posted and applicable health- and safety-related guidance to reduce the spread of the virus.
