Through grants, OCI Math curriculum director Dr. Rizalina Liwag said the office was able to produce and publish materials for CCLHS.
She said the children’s e-books were written by local people including teachers and PSS staff, in English, Chamorro or Carolinian.
There are four different levels of e-books available to CCLHS students, she added.
She said PSS-OCI also converted anthologies and textbooks to digital books.
The e-library contents, moreover, include video clips for learning Chamorro and Carolinian.
Through the e-library, students will have access to educational companies such as McGraw-Hill and Savvas Realize that provide customized educational content.
The e-library includes research studies conducted in the CNMI by Dr. Yvonne Pangelinan, Dr. Bobby Cruz, Jackie Quitugua, Liwag herself and other local educators.
Liwag said the Office of Curriculum Instruction is still collating written materials from PSS or community members who are willing to share their research papers or articles.
She said PSS teachers and students can access the e-library. For community members who want to get access, they may request the password from OCI. (https://cnmipssoci.org/)
