Cow manure remains a problem in Marpi

On Friday, community volunteer Max Aguon said cow manure was scattered in the parking area at the Kalabera Cave.

“It’s good we don’t have tourists yet. This is very embarrassing,” he added.

In June, DPL asked ranchers to fence their grazing areas to prevent their cows from going to the veterans cemetery and the tourist areas in Marpi.

On Saturday, Aguon said he, his daughter Jengkie and friend Emiko Camacho picked up trash from Tottotville to Pakpak Beach in San Antonio, and then from Sugar Dock Beach to Micro Beach.

He said they also cleaned the Chalan Kanoa cemetery.
