In celebration of Humanities Month, a strong lineup of local artists and performers will be presenting their crafts on Tinian.
The festivities will kick off with “Storytelling with Cielo Long” on Monday, Oct. 26, followed by a cooking demonstration with Julie San Nicolas on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Then, on Wednesday, Oct. 28, Joseph T. San Nicolas and Eric Reyes will present an original Chamorro song performance and interpretation.
The Taotao Taga Dancers will take the stage on Thursday, Oct. 29, to perform a Chamorro dance.
Bobby Diamond and Dorthy San Nicolas will close out the festivities with a session on how to make coconut oil on Friday, Oct. 30.
The Office of the Mayor of Tinian and Aguiguan will stream the 2020 Humanities Week live on its Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/tinianmayor96952) at 1 p.m. each day of the special week.
Community members are welcome to attend the celebration virtually.
