House Bill 21-125 intends to amend Division 4 of Title 6 of the Commonwealth Code relating to disposition of offenders and sentencing to provide criteria for imposition of enhanced sentencing of defendants for crimes motivated by hate.
The bill was introduced by Rep. Donald Manglona and is co-sponsored by Speaker Blas Jonathan Attao, Reps. Joel Camacho, Luis John Castro, Joseph Flores, Richard Lizama, and Tina Sablan.
It is now with the House Standing Committee on Judiciary and Governmental Operations, which is chaired by Camacho and consists of Vice Speaker Lorenzo Deleon Guerrero, House Floor Leader John Paul Sablan, Reps. Castro, Flores, Jose Itibus, Manglona, Edmund Villagomez, and Ralph Yumul.
