The ROTC program at NMC allows for individuals to become commissioned as a military officer right out of college. Individuals who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in the ROTC program, may be eligible for full tuition and merit-based scholarships to cover tuition and fees and an annual book allowance, or may opt to accept room and board and also receive an annual book allowance when they reach the University of Guam. Individuals who complete the four-year ROTC program will earn a bachelor’s degree from UOG and become a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.

Benefits of enrolling in the ROTC program include a higher starting base pay of $55,000 once commissioned and selected for active duty; earning a bachelor’s degree in four years; multiple scholarship opportunities; and once contracted, a monthly stipend of $420 while in the program.
A non-scholarship student entering the program is not obligated to the Army until they sign a contract; however, to continue to the advanced level in the program, the student must sign a contract with the U.S. Army by your junior year.
