“There’s a big improvement in the distribution system,” EVM president and board chair Rosalyn Ajoste said, as she lauded volunteers for ensuring a smooth distribution of care packages at Garapan Central Park.
She said they distributed 800 care packages to those who had registered on EVM’s Facebook page, and served an additional 200 walk-in community members.
Aside from the on-site distribution, she said EVM also delivered care packages to residents in their homes.

Ajoste said EVM will organize another food distribution event as soon as they obtain donations from the business community.
She expressed appreciation to First Hawaiian Bank for sponsoring the care packages distribution on Thursday.
For her part, EVM founder Rose Smith thanked Detry Corporation for providing a portable toilet; Everest Kitchen for providing lunch to volunteers; and Foremost and First Hawaiian Bank for their “huge donations.”
“It was very kind of them —thanks to everyone for your support,” she added.
