THE Liberation Day Committee is inviting businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies and elected officials to compete in this year’s Fourth of July parade float competition.
The committee challenges lawmakers to showcase the resiliency of their precincts by participating in the competition.
“We know times are hard, but your participation will not only uplift the Liberation festivities; it will also provide an opportunity to engage directly with your constituents and demonstrate your support for local initiatives,” Parade Committee Chair Priscilla Iakopo said.
This year’s Liberation Day theme is “Resiliency Rising.”
The float competition will have three winners: Best Business, Best Non-Profit and Best Precinct. Each will receive a $4,00 cash prize.
Parade float applications are ready for pick up at the Saipan Office of the Mayor or via download at the saipanmayor.net/.
Interested applicants may call (670) 234-6208 for more information. Deadline to submit the parade float applications is Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
This year’s Liberation Day festivities will held at the Garapan Fishing Base from July 1 to 22, 2023.
