Hitler Weilbacher
Dismissed with prejudice means the case cannot be refiled.
Weilbacher was represented by the Public Defender’s Office.
On Nov. 16, 2017, a tourist couple called 911 for assistance to report a theft of vehicle — a Toyota 4Runner — at Zhan Yu Market on Capital Hill.
Police reviewed footage from the store’s surveillance camera and saw a man wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans approaching the victims’ vehicle parked outside the store. The man walked around the vehicle before entering it and driving off at 12:37 p.m..
Police identified the suspect as Weilbacher.
At 1:18 p.m. on the same day, police sighted the stolen vehicle traveling southbound on Chalan Pale Arnold in Gualo Rai by the traffic light intersection.
Police then pulled over Weilbacher in front of U Luck Poker across from the Shell Highway Express Lube and Tire for a felony stop.
After securing Weilbacher and bringing him to a police cruiser, the suspect kicked an officer in his abdomen.
In a statement to the police, Weilbacher admitted stealing the Toyota 4Runner and kicking the police officer in the abdomen.
Weilbacher also told police that once he got out of prison he would kick the officer in the face and steal the officer’s vehicle.
Weilbacher was also charged with the theft of a silver Toyota Highlander on June 21, 2017. He admitted to the police that he stole the vehicle.
