THROUGH the generosity of Triple J Payless SuperFresh & Truckload Store and Yaong Corporation, INAS’ Kitchen raised over $3,000 in a fundraising drive to help the victims of Typhoon Mawar in Guam and Rota.

On Thursday, INAS’ Kitchen Owner/Chef Sonnie A. Sablan handed to American Red Cross-NMI Chapter board members Brent Deleon Guerrero and Patty Palacios the proceeds of a two-week fundraiser.

Two weeks ago, Yaong Corporation donated its products for the plate lunches that INAS’ Kitchen served to its customers. Last week, INAS’ Kitchen served burgers with patties made with Triple J’s Certified Angus Beef.

Sablan said INAS’ Kitchen extends their sincere appreciation to their partners, customers and friends for contributing to the fundraising drive that aims “to help our neighbors on the islands of Rota and Guam following the devastation left by Typhoon Mawar.”

“Because of your generosity, we can further assist the recovery that is still going on in Rota and Guam,” Sablan said.

He said they are excited to share that INAS’ Kitchen raised $3,129.75 in cash, which was turned over on Thursday to the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter.

Triple J Payless SuperFresh and Truck Load Store General Manager Jay Santos said INAS’ Kitchen is “a fabulous company that thinks of those in dire need in the community.”

He said Triple J helped INAS’ Kitchen with their burger specials by donating Triple J’s Certified Angus Beef so the proceeds will go to American Red Cross-NMI Chapter for the victims of Super Typhoon Mawar.

Santos said Triple J continues to do this “because we love these guys — they are great family; they care about the community and the food that they serve here is one of the best in the islands.”

He added that Sonnie Sablan is a very talented chef, and his parents are wonderful people.

Yaong Corporation Sales and Liaison Officer Ma. Theresa H. Aldan said they are really happy to cooperate and help those who are in dire need.

Yaong Corporation, she said, has been giving back to the community by extending help to those who need it.

Since Super Typhoon Soudelor and Super Typhoon Yutu, she said Yaong Corporation has been a helping hand — “that is what Yaong does.”

Deleon Guerrero said the ARC-NMI Chapter is very grateful to INAS’ Kitchen, Triple J and Yaong Corporation for coming together and putting together a creative idea to help support the typhoon relief efforts.

“As you know, Guam was really devastated by typhoon and a lot of our efforts now have been diverted to Guam. So, we are very grateful to INAS’ Kitchen for putting together these fundraising and providing funds and reliefs for the typhoon victims,” Deleon Guerrero said.

“It’s a good way for us to work collaboratively with ARC-Guam Chapter. In the past, we were no stranger to being assisted by them so it’s our time to help. We hope that INAS’ Kitchen inspires other small businesses to step up to the plate and find a way as well so that we can continue to help ARC-NMI Chapter,” Deleon Guerrero added.

Palacios said they are very grateful for the efforts of INAS’ Kitchen, Triple J and Yaong Corporation.

She noted that the success of a company is not only dependent on its hardworking employees, but also on the customers and the community itself. “So, whatever you put into your business, also goes back into the community and that is what INAS’ Kitchen, Triple J and Yaong have done today for us,” she said.
