Loh, a former VIP host at the Saipan casino, sued IPI, alleging labor violations.
She said she was IPI’s VIP services host from Oct. 2015 to Aug. 2016.
According to Loh she worked 14 hours per day, seven days per week, but IPI failed to pay her the minimum wage rate and OT pay required by Section 206 of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Loh also alleged that her share of tips was taken by the VIP services supervisor of IPI.
In her order on Wednesday, Judge Manglona said each party will bear their own costs and fees, including attorney’s fees.
The judge directed the court clerk to vacate all hearings and close the case.
On December 12, 2019, IPI and Loh, through her attorney William Fitzgerald, filed a notice of settlement.
The stipulation disclosed that they have entered into a contract of settlement and will be filing the dismissal as soon as the documentations are completed.
IPI was represented by attorney Kelley Butcher.
A separate lawsuit was filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against IPI for sexual harassment and unfair employment practices on behalf of Loh “and other similarly aggrieved female employees.”
In the EEOC lawsuit, IPI denies that it engages in unlawful employment practices.
