MHS Rhythm ‘n Harmony ready to shine

ON Tuesday and Wednesday, June 6 and 7, the Marianas High School Rhythm ‘n Harmony Glee Club presents “Pure Imagination,” their first concert of 2023.

Start time is 7 p.m. on both nights, and the concert takes place at the MHS gym, which can host a maximum of 150 people.

Tickets are $5 each for students and $10 for adults. They can be purchased at the concert venue or in Room 102D on the MHS campus.

Harold Easton, the club’s advisor, said the concert will highlight the students’ different abilities.

It will showcase “the variety of skills learned by this fine organization over the years — a showcase of styles, movements and musical time periods,” Easton told Variety.

He said the students have been putting in “months of daily two hour rehearsals” in preparation for the concert.

Callia Lucenara, a soprano, said  no matter the genre being performed, the concert has something for everyone.

“Music is a language that speaks to one and all,” Lucenara said.

The concert is directed by Mylan Goodwin with co-director Deejay Santomin. Both will also perform in the show. Donna Bartolo is the advising director.

The other performers are Keli Lumbana, Mica Sune, Sara Keaton, Callia Lucenara, Alyrose Santos, Moira Ernest, Jane Mozunder, Joshua Cadadu-an, Marc Dungca, Kyle Manuel, Zhymonne Escober, Harry Domulot and Jack Enriquez.

The Marianas High School Rhythm ‘n Harmony Glee Club will hold their first concert of the year on June 6 and 7 at the MHS gym.
