REGARDLESS of whether there is a sign at San Vicente park or not, the Guam Army National Guard said they remain committed to serve Guam and the CNMI.
In a statement, the Guam Army National Guard told Variety that they were aware of the removal of their Adopt-a-Place sign from their adopted park, but they reassured the community that they are still part of the Adopt-a-Place program, and they will continue to help the Marianas.
“Guam and the [Northern] Marianas have a strong relationship, and it is part of our service to help in whatever way we can,” the Guam Army National Guard said.
They are currently occupied with preparing for Typhoon Mawar, but they said after the typhoon, they will also look into cleanup activities for the Adopt-a-Place program.
The program, which is under the Saipan Mayor’s Office, empowers organizations, government agencies and businesses to “adopt” a place and help clean up and beautify the island.
