THE Saipan Magalahi Eagles Club and the Saipan Maga’Haga Lady Eagles Group welcomed their new members and officers during an induction ceremony at Grandvrio’s Fiesta Hall on April 22.
“We do not want to make empty promises. I am grateful to all the members for the time and dedication that they give to our organization and our cause. We do not need to make many promises but we’ll let our actions speak for our accomplishments,” the Saipan Magalahi Eagles Club’s newly inducted president Dennis Cortez told Variety in an interview.
Present during the induction ceremony was Saipan Mayor Ramon B. Camacho who congratulated the new members and officers. He also thanked the organization for serving the community through beautification, cleanup and other activities.
He said the development and progress of the island is not just in the hands of the government, but also depends on the commitment and work of the people and organizations such as the Saipan Eagles.
“We are the solution to the community problem,” the mayor said. “You have been contributing to the island of Saipan. You have been helping the community and the government of Saipan,” he added.
Recently, the Eagles “adopted” the Gualo Rai basketball court which they will regularly clean and maintain.
Also present during the ceremony were Precinct 1 Rep. Roy Aldan Ada, Lions Club International District 204 District Governor Loisa Cabuhat and First Vice District Governor Blanca Imbo.
