San Vicente powers past Saipan Community School, 6-4

SAN Vicente Elementary School continues to climb the ladder in the elementary school division of the NMIFA-PSS Interscholastic Soccer League SY23-24 after outlasting Saipan Community School, 6-4, on Monday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville. 

It was a one-man show between SVES’ Esefou Fusaichy and SCS’ Damian Camacho. 

Fusaichy had an explosive start as he constantly penetrated through SCS’ defensive walls, connecting back-to-back goals at the 5th and 7th minute marks to give his team the  lead, 2-0.

Camacho, for his part, replied with two consecutive goals at the 12th and 16th minute marks to even the score, 2-2. 

Fusaichy then followed up with two more goals at the 18th and 19th minute marks to regain the lead heading into halftime, 4-2. 

In the second half, SCS’s Camacho rekindled the fire with two more goals at the 21st and 26th minute marks to again tie the score, 4-4. 

But SVES’s Fusaichy unleashed his fifth goal at the 34th minute mark while teammate Aaron Iglecias stepped up and delivered at the 35th minute mark to add the icing on the cake, 6-4. 

BSS vs WSR

Brilliant Star School managed to escape defeat after Jaydin Camacho connected a late-game shot at the 31st minute mark to draw against William S. Reyes Elementary School 2, 1-1.

Riana Acosta scored  WSR’s lone goal at the 19th minute mark of the first half.
