THE Falcons walloped D9er’s, 20-5, Tuesday in the 2023 Tan Holdings Saipan Baseball League at the Francisco “Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field.

D9er’s seemed to have found their groove early as John Acosta and Jeremy Atalig brought in Terel Rabago and Tindin Deleon Guerrero for an RBI each to take the lead 2-0.

But in the bottom half of the opening inning, D9’ers struggled defensively allowing three runs to slip by due to errors while the Falcons’ Giovanni Mira and Juan Quitugua earned an RBI each to seize the lead, 5-2.

The Falcons carried their momentum to the bottom of the second inning as they continued to connect led by Angel Iguel with a two-RBI single and Ian Norita’s RBI single. Three more runs were added by the Falcons, capitalizing off defensive errors to stretch their lead, 11-2.

D9er’s tried to stay alive with two runs in the top of the third inning, but the Falcons, in turn, bagged three runs to remain ahead.

After D9’ers squeezed in one run in the top of the fourth, the Falcons responded with six runs highlighted by Henry Aguon’s two-RBI triple to force the early victory with just four innings played, 20-5.
