Paid internship available at War in the Pacific National Historical Park

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A paid internship position with the War in the Pacific National Historical Park is now open for applications. Employment will be from Jan. 22 to Dec. 20, 2024.

The position, a Climate Change Community Volunteer Ambassador, is available to applicants who are high school graduates between the ages of 18 and 30, and veterans between the ages of 18 and 35. Applicants should be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and comfortable working outside for extended periods.

The park said they are “seeking a reliable, energetic and outgoing person to join our team and collaborate on projects related to climate change education and awareness, community service, stewardship opportunities, environmental education and visitor services.”

The position offers a weekly stipend of $600, limited health care/child care benefits, a housing allowance and professional development funds. Upon successful completion of the program, the chosen applicant will be eligible for an AmeriCorps Education Award of $6,895 and a position with the Public Lands Corps hiring authority.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with the first review occurring in early November. The final deadline is Dec. 10, 2023.
