THE Saipan Awaodori team will perform at the 42nd Akimatsuri Japanese Autumn Festival at Ypao Beach Park in Guam on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023.
This is the second time the Awaodori team was invited to the event, according to the team’s organizer, Paseo De Marianas Promoters Inc. Chief Executive Officer Misako Kamata.
Those leaving with Kamata for Guam today, Thursday, Nov. 16, are Awaodori performers Coddie Forbes, Owen Quitugua, Jonathan Agulto, Cassidy Wabol, Vianny Mettao, Jeafanie Tibong, Leon Wabol, Gizelle Cabaobas, Marcela Heben, Julianne Mettao and Ina Mettao.
On the same day, they will perform at Guma Trankilidat, the Agana Heights Mayor’s Office and Skinner Plaza.
On Friday, they will perform at the Tamuning Senior Center, Micronesia Mall, Guam Japanese School, Guam Premium Outlet and during the festival eve dinner at Ypao Beach Park.
