AIMELIIK 1 Time  finally won a game in the 2023 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball League after pulling a rally against Momma Charu, 24-14, Sunday at the Dandan baseball field.

Aimeliik established control in the opening inning with back-to-back singles, scoring six runs led by Sid Camacho’s two-RBI single for a 6-1 lead.

The next two innings were scoreless, but the action resumed in the top of the fourth with Momma Charu squeezing in two runs led by Leo Bobai and Bernard Kileleman with an RBI each to cut the deficit.

However, Aimeliik returned the favor with a total of eight runs highlighted by Manny Cabrera, who ignited the momentum with a  two-RBI single followed by Martin’s two-run homerun for a commanding 14-3 lead.

In the fourth inning, Momma Charu seemed to have found their second wind. Chico Ilo and Bernard Kileleman led the onslaught by earning two RBI’s each while Derek Sasamoto’s grand slam aided in an offensive streak of 11 runs that propelled their team to a 14-14 tie.

But Momma Charu’s hopes were quickly erased when Aimeliik struck back in the bottom of the fifth with all 10 players touching home base led by Martin and Chris George’s grand slams to end the game via the 10-run rule after just five innings, 24-14.
