(SHS)— As we brace ourselves for the approaching storm, let’s not forget the devoted companions who stand by our sides through thick and thin – our beloved dogs. These loyal creatures dedicate their lives to safeguarding our families and providing companionship. It is our responsibility to ensure their safety and well-being, especially during dangerous weather conditions.
Saipan Humane Society urges all pet owners to demonstrate compassion and empathy towards their furry family members during this critical time. Leaving dogs loose or tied up outside during hazardous weather poses serious risks to their safety. Our organization strongly recommends to bring your pets indoors to ride out the storm together as a family. By inviting them inside during inclement weather, we not only shield them from the dangers outside but also provide them with the comfort and security they need.
Here are a few essential tips for keeping your dogs safe during the storm:1. Indoor Shelter: Ensure your dogs have a safe and dry place indoors to ride out the storm.2. Comfort: Create a cozy space with their favorite toys and blankets to make them feel secure.3. Regular Check-ins: Periodically check on your dogs to reassure them and ensure they are comfortable.4. Identification: Make sure your pets are wearing identification tags with current contact information in case they get lost during the storm.5. Emergency Kit: Prepare a pet emergency kit with food, water, medications, and essential supplies.By taking these simple yet vital steps, we can protect our furry friends and truly exemplify the bond between humans and their dogs. Let’s not forget that they are members of our families too, and it’s our duty to ensure their safety and well-being.For further information or assistance, please contact the Saipan Humane Society at [email protected].
